Backing

The official Project NOMAD patch. It's woven, not embroidered, so the fine contour lines come through sharp, and there are no long loose stitches to snag on a branch or a pack strap. An olive merrow border finishes the edge.

  • 3.23 in tall x 2.8 in wide, woven, 4 colors
  • Hook backing (the scratchy side). Sticks to any loop panel on a pack, plate carrier, hat or gear bag. The loop half isn't included.
  • Iron-on backing. Bonds best to cotton, canvas and denim, and doesn't hold well on nylon or coated fabrics. For packs and technical gear, go with hook backing or stitch it on. A few stitches around the merrow edge make any iron-on patch permanent.
